Hi John, I have been meaning to write you an e-mail for ages now, but the year has been unexpectedly busy. Once again thank you very much for our personalised tour in January. Please send me the e-mail-address for the Tripadvisor page - I really want to promote you there. Please also send me a postal address again so that I can forward you a copy of the SA travel magazines that we have been discussing.
Somebody in my departement is also very keen on visiting the Eldoret area where the SA farmers lived - he retires next year and would like to spend some time in East Africa. I am also trying to get enough people to accompany me to Turkana (although you do not recommend it) and Samburu via the Aberdares and Bogoria and Baringo. Incidentally, a South African who has been stationed in Nairobi for 4 years told me that the flamingos tend to travel north when it rains and that might also be an explanation for why we did not see such vast numbers at Nakuru in January.
We have not yet developed all the photos, but at some point I will also forward some images for your new page - there is a nice one of you and Sylvia at the Rift Valley view point. She also sends her warmest regards and we still sometimes wonder where the Italian sleeps tonight. Are you still planning a visit in September?
