Island View, Malindi is a spectacular five bedroom house, recently completed, with free-form swimming pool with waterfall,island dining and spectacular views out over the Indian Ocean.
There is a private beach access from the property to Watamu Beach below. The whole renovation has been designed to very high standards encompassing Swahili and Arabic at its best. The spacious upstairs and downstairs verandas are supported with hand carved local timber (Mwanga) with beamed lamu coconut cross sections. Located on one of the worlds finest beaches the property offers accommodation at the highest level and is the perfect hideaway for honeymooners, golf parties,fishing parties and families wanting a holiday to remember. The house sleeps 10 people comfortably and the private beach makes for a hassle free stay of barefoot luxury at its best.

Accessibility
No special wheelchair access however staff on hand to assist with all your needs.
Outside
Private pool with waterfall feature and consisting of a island approach for more dining plus a small kiddies paddling area,barbecue and outside shower bar and loo. Opposite the pool is a boules court. The gardens are being landscaped with palm and an abundance of bougainvillea.
Coast/Beach
The property has its own little beach area on the cliff top with access to the main beach below through the pool area around 20 meters walk! (literally on it).
Golf
Malindi 9 hole golf club is 20km. Vipingo Ridge (2 x 18 hole championship courses are 45 min away). A further 2 courses at Nyali and Mombassa are 90 minutes away.
Travel
Mombasa Airport to Watamu is 120km on a decent road and takes around 90 minutes. Malindi airport has flights from Nairobi and is a 19 minutes drive to Watamu.
Distances
The house is in Watamu village on the north side and is a 2 minute walk into the village centre.
Further details
There are a wide choice of local restaurants and hotels serving international dishes of your choice, also 4 banks with ATMs and 2 supermarkets plus local dukas (shops) selling local produce and Safaris.
Booking notes
A 10% deposit is required on booking with the balance paid 3 weeks before departure by bank transfer or cheque. We do not accept credit card payment.
A further refundable breakage allowance of £100 applies to all rates.
